Estimating
Customers, estimate editing, and number entry
Create a customer, build the scope, and verify that your edits survive reopening.
Create and reopen
Enter the customer information in the new-estimate flow, then continue into the estimate builder.
Add scope items and quantities, review project answers, and return to Existing Estimates to reopen the record.
Native customer records are saved locally immediately when changed. Cloud costbook sync is separate from local customer persistence. Do not assume all native estimates are automatically available on the web or another device.
Enter numeric values
You can clear and retype numeric fields without a forced zero interrupting editing. Decimal values and pasted currency or percent text are normalized where numeric-entry controls are provided.
Review the committed value after leaving a field. Use nonnegative quantities and amounts unless a field explicitly supports a different meaning.
Check rounding at the displayed cent level, especially percentage discounts and installment amounts.
Duplicate carefully
A duplicate is a separate estimate. Check its customer, scope, dates, and payment schedule before sharing.
Do not reuse a signed proposal as a new agreement without reviewing every field and obtaining the appropriate new approval.
